Palladium Hotel Group was founded more than 50 years ago with the mission of bringing paradise to travellers. We are extremely lucky to have a magnificent team of expert professionals and to operate in truly awesome locations, something which makes us very much aware of the responsibility we must exercise in our activity.
We are firmly committed to the responsible use of resources and being fully aware of the impact of our activity and preserving the environment, but the “S” for “Social” in CSR is particularly important to us. This is due to our genuine and profound interest in local communities and our team members, on which we aim to have a real and highly positive impact. Because we believe that the future involves taking care of the most important accommodation that there is - our PLANET - and also its guests - the PEOPLE.
How did Palladium Cares start?
We believe it is our obligation to be socially responsible and promote a more sustainable form of tourism. That’s why we created Palladium Cares, the result of numerous social responsibility projects, in order to implement projects and provide support for sustainable development in our society and for future generations.
- We are people working for people.
- We support the well-being and social development of our team members.
- We strive to constantly improve our employees’ quality of life.
- We build trusting relationships with the communities around us.
- We support social projects and activities.
- We contribute to the culture, training and education of local communities.
- Preserving the planet is everyone’s responsibility.
- We support innovation and control mechanisms to drive more sustainable tourism.
- We support global projects to combat climate change.
The Palladium Cares anthem
To end the first year of the "4 Causes to Take Action" campaign, we held an anniversary party in Ibiza and Madrid together with representatives of NGOs, hotel planners and Palladium Hotel Group employees. During the event we created the Palladium Cares anthem together with Musical Thinkers, bringing all the party guests together in a very emotional and unforgettable moment.
4 CAUSES TO TAKE ACTION
The project in which we show our commitment to support the local community
Now is the time to act. Now is the time to show the Palladium Hotel Group team's commitment to the planet, to people and to our local communities. We must take action, here and now.
We are well aware that the best way to help is through expert NGOs who give us the OPPORTUNITY to work with them. Thanks to them we can contribute our time and resources to the causes we have selected in all the cities where Palladium Hotel Group operates.
PROTECTING CHILDREN

PROTECTING THE PLANET
HELPING THE ELDERLY
Corporate volunteering
A programme in parallel and aligned with the 4 Causes to Take Action campaign, in which team members from head offices in Madrid and Ibiza support projects to protect the environment and our local communities.
It is also another opportunity to work to help vulnerable people have some fun, smile, receive training and feel better and more integrated with our local society.
And it’s also a great opportunity for team building, doing something different to the day-to-day routine and interacting in a different way and place. No one is a boss, a senior or a junior - we’re all just colleagues working towards a common social and environmental goal.
Abel Matutes Foundation
The Abel Matutes Foundation was created in 1978 by Abel Matutes Juan to promote culture, sport and scientific and sociological research, as well as the preservation and promotion of the environmental, artistic, cultural and historical heritage of Ibiza and Formentera.
Imbassaí Institute
In 2005, Palladium Hotel Group created the Imbassaí Institute to manage the social activities of the Grand Palladium Imbassaí Resort & Spa in its local community.
In a region where tourism is a fundamental part of the economy, the Imbassaí Institute has become a benchmark for numerous companies and organisations, and has given hundreds of socially disadvantaged people the opportunity to receive training in our facilities and go on to find employment.
In addition to training, the Imbassai Institute also supports and implements socio-environmental projects, raising awareness about environmental policy and providing opportunities for a better quality of life for the local population.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Social development and protection.
- Job creation.
- Environmental education spaces.
- Vocational training.

Palladium commitments
The Palladium Hotel Group is committed to working with suppliers in each country to completely source our eggs (shell, liquid and egg products) from cage-free birds across our entire global operation for all owned, managed and franchised hotels by the end of 2025.
The Palladium Hotel Group is committed to making its policy available in all major languages and will publish annual reports on our progress towards this commitment. As of February 2024, 86% of our egg supply in Europe comes from cage-free birds. As of June 2024, this figure stands at 34% in Latin America as a whole, but at 86% in Mexico. We continue to proactively analyse all viable alternatives in our different markets. We continue to work towards ensuring we meet our goal of 100% cage-free eggs globally by 2025.
