Message from the President

Purpose of the Foundation

The Foundation is an expression of the Grupo Empresas Matutes commitments to society and an integral part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activities. Its founding purposes are:

Education and training

The Foundation promotes training to enhance employment opportunities, helping implement training, employment and business leadership programmes, particularly for vulnerable members of our society.

Social support

The Foundation supports programmes carried out by non-profit organisations, especially those aimed at improving living conditions in disadvantaged communities.

Environmental protection

The Foundation encourages practices that help improve the environment and supports projects to protect biological diversity.

Promotion of the islands of Ibiza and Formentera

The Foundation supports, protects and helps develop culture, research and sport on the islands.

Palladium Cares project

We believe it is our obligation to be socially responsible and promote a more sustainable form of tourism. That’s why we created Palladium Cares, the result of numerous social responsibility projects in all the Palladium Hotel Group hotels, in order to implement projects and provide support for sustainable development in our society and for future generations.

Our Planet

Protection of lizards

We are working on a project to help protect lizards in Ibiza, a native species which is crucial to the local ecosystem. Protective activities in our gardens and natural areas help provide a safe space for the lizards, encouraging them to reproduce and also preserving their natural habitat.

We want to support the children of our employees, who have great dreams and a desire to be educated, but are unable to access university studies.

The annual Palladium Cares campaign in Europe focuses on four social causes: the protection of children, the reduction of inequality, the protection of our planet and support for the elderly.

This innovative project allows us to recycle left-over soap from our hotels and turn it into new hygiene products.

We are focused on sustainability and reducing food waste, and that’s why we have implemented several projects to optimise waste management and encourage the responsible use of resources.

Agricultural Production Centre

The project of the Agricultural Production Centre in Imbassaí aims to broaden the environmental cultural vision in the region, providing the community with courses on environmental education, meliponiculture and sustainability to optimise production and take care of the planet at the same time.

Corporate Volunteering in Head Offices

A programme in parallel and aligned with the 4 Causes to Take Action campaign, in which team members from head offices in Madrid and Ibiza support projects to protect the environment and our local communities.

Sandy Footprints

This project involves our hotel in Jamaica inviting guests to donate clothes, toys or school materials to be sent to different partner organisations that we work with on a regular basis. Guests can also personally deliver their donations and meet the recipients.
